Hi Coralie,

Thanks for the compliments about the website, we do our best to keep it updated. As regarding the Suncrest Hotel, it's a good 4 star hotel and am sure you will enjoy your stay there. You will find bad reviews about any hotel in the world, but you should not be too concerned. If you have any problem in Malta, I suggest you to contact hotel management or your travel agent immediately and am sure they will help you out.

Good coffee is cheap in most bars and should cost anything between €1 to €3, depending location.

Hi there, very good of you and talented to make such an informative site!

I am finally visiting Malta for a fortnight in July with my 21yr daughter and 4yr son. Have booked the Seashells Resort at Suncrest due to it's children facilities, however on their site there was a really bad review. Now I do realise it is only one persons opinion, however there were no other opinions hence my writing to you. What have you heard if anything, about this hotel in Qawra? Also how much is it for a good coffee in the cafe bars please? When I return I will message again.

Best Wishes,
Coral UK

Glad to find informative blogs about the Maltese islands elsewhere. You mentioned the handsome balconies (galleriji) that you find everywhere in Malta but more so in Valletta. They look like they've always been part of the Valletta architecture but, interestingly enough, only became common during British rule when everyone started stripping the open stone balconies and fitting in the "trendy" wooden ones.

Hi Cynthia,

Welcome to my blog! Malta's currency is the EURO (since Jan '07) and if you're of European nationality obtaining a working permit will be just a formality. Maltese people are renowned for their friendliness, am sure you will be welcome here. Will be writing new blog posts to cover your concerns in more detail in the coming days too.

Good day, I'm more curious about this country Malta for I have received a job offer as nanny/housekeeper. Your info is quite informative but I'm still looking for more. Like how people are, employments, currency and government policies. Hope I can find more.
