Isle of MTV Malta 2010In summer 2007, MTV brought its popular “Isle of MTV” event to Malta for the first-time, and this is something that has continued to be a highlight of every summer since.

Isle of MTV is a club tour culminating in a live show for up to several thousand people held outdoors at The Granaries, Floriana, just by the entrance to the capital city, Valletta. It’s THE event of the summer, with many non-Maltese flying in from abroad especially for the concert. The show is completely free and the audience is encouraged to use public transport to get to and from the event.

Maltese Swingers

Maltese SwingersSwinging – or the swinging lifestyle – is a reference to non-exclusive sexual activity that’s usually experienced as a couple, and in the recent past it was often referred to as “wife-swapping”.

Swinging was considered part of the sexual revolution that took place in the 1960s and 1970s, although its origins took root in ancient times.

One writer, Terry Gould, claims that swinging started during World War 2, when it became popular with US Air Force pilots and their respective wives.
