Shopping Centre Malta

Malta could never be described as a great shopping centre, and many Maltese go on a day to Sicily when they want a shopping spree. The best buys for visitors are the local crafts, which are conveniently displayed and demonstrated in craft villages on Malta and Gozo. Crafts aside, the best shopping is in Triq ir-Republika (Republic Street), Valletta.

Malta Bus

Malta BusPublic bus services in Malta operate regularly to most parts of Malta from City Gate, Valletta.

Many of the Malta buses are old and quite a treat to ride in. However, they are incredibly cheap! Preparing small change in advance is highly recommended.

All the towns & villages can be reached by bus, and there are frequent connections from practically all holiday resorts to Valletta.

FrenchMyFridays held every single Friday at one of the most exclusive clubs in Malta called Shadow Lounge.

Situated in the heart of Malta’s entertainment hub FrenchMyFridays host a weekly promotion bringing the classiest and chiquest people in one spot moving to the sounds of resident Dj’s Mahoney & Jesmar.

Bugibba, Qawra & St Paul’s Bay

The architecture does not inspire, but Bugibba is probably the cheapest place to stay on the island. Although somewhat cut off from Valletta and from other main parts of the island, its facilities are such that many of its visitors are happy to stay put.

The emphasis is on bars, pubs, discos and restaurants (mainly of the pasta, pizza and hamburger variety). A lively promenade offers bathing and a variety of water sports, including paragliding. On summer evenings the streets teem with people and music blares from late-night bars.
